Keepsakeables is in the process of developing a new web site that hopes to offer a portal for Artisans that either suffer from an affliction or know someone who is. This new site is a grass roots project that intends on being an online marketplace for Artisans, be it visual, audio or other and create a forum for people who create art to meet people who are interested in buying this art. Not only would this be a great opportunity to be able to get these two parties together but it will also be a way to help generate funds for a chosen cause. A portion (deemed considerable by the artist) of the cost for the purchase of said art will be donated to a charitable organization of the artists choice.
As of December ’09 this new idea is being launched under the title - Artisans Against Afflictions aka A. A. A.
In the coming weeks we are hopefully going to be erecting this web site so please be patient. In the meantime, please show your support by donating through PayPal using the “Donate” link to the left. The more donations received, the faster the site will be up and running so please forward our url to family, friends and business associates.
Thanking you in advance!
Update 12.8.09 - We are aware of the donation button problem and we are working with PayPal to correct it.
Update 12.15.09 - The “Donate” link is now operating correctly. Please consider even the smallest amount to donate, every bit will help get this network closer and in turn hopefully wipe out one or more of the world’s major sicknesses. Please forward this page to everyone in your e mail list.
Update 12.26.09 - Season’s Greetings! We want to thank everyone who has already shown their generosity by donating to A. A. A. and we ask that more people consider giving whatever they can afford. We can’t do it alone and with the help of your donations, we’ll get one more step closer to hopefully eliminating one or more of the world’s major afflictions.
Update 02.04.10 - Is it February?? Already?!? Well, January just flew by us so ... Happy New Year! It’s a great way to start things off ... Busy. Many thanks to those who continued to donate to our little (hopefully big someday) cause while Port au Prince, Haiti was in turmoil. God bless the thousands of people who survived such a huge natural disaster and the ones who unselfishly made it their effort to help them.
Update 02.19.10 - While we here at Keepsakeables have been working on launching A. A. A., we’ve also been developing what we envision as being a superior representation for showing one’s awareness to Parkinson’s Disease. There are a few images created by artists that are already in circulation and one in particular is trying to generate enough interest through an online petition to make what has been created as the North American symbol of PD awareness. Although the said image is a fine representation ... We feel, not only could it be better but if there is to be “1” image to symbolize something there should be a level playing field for others to submit their ideas as well. In the next couple of weeks, we will be unveiling our ideas for this symbol and we encourage anyone that has an idea of their own, to contact us so we can help to present it. website design company directory
